Carrie Chappell is the author of many poems some of which have appeared in or are forthcoming from Anastamos, Cimarron Review, Freshwater Review, Harpur Palate, cream city review, Leveler, those that this, and 45th Parallel. Her book essays have been published in The Collagist, DIAGRAM, The Iowa Review, and Xavier Review.
Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, she earned her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Alabama and her Master of Fine Arts from the University of New Orleans' Creative Writing Workshop. She has taught English Composition at Delgado Community College and was named Writer-in-Residence for Big Class in 2014. Each April, she facilitates the Verse of April project, a community catalogue of voices celebrating poetry, of which she is the founder. Currently, she lives, writes, and teaches in Paris, France, and serves as Poetry Editor for Sundog Lit.
